Legal Support of Construction

One of the main areas of activities of Prime Legal, LLC is real estate practice, construction management and legal support of construction.

Legal support of construction is the area of activities requiring comprehensive knowledge and extensive practical experience. Specialists of law firm Prime Legal, LLC have been providing construction management services for more than 10 years. During this period we have accumulated significant experience and theoretical knowledge that allow us to provide management with a high degree of efficiency.

Services for legal support of construction can be conditionally divided into 2 categories:

  • Legal support of construction companies at the design stage.
  • Legal support of construction companies at the construction stage including support at the commissioning stage.

Legal support at the design stage:

• Preparation of a set of documents for tenders for design works;
• Preparation and legal formalization of agreements between the customer and contractors for the development of project documentation;
• Independent audit analysis and assessment of stages of development of the project documentation;
• Participation as a representative or mediator in the event of disputes between the customer and the contractor;
• Control over the cost of performed works, regular examination of the process in order to identify and eliminate the factors that may cause an increase in the final cost of the works;
• Harmonization and approval of project documentation in all authorized bodies;
• Organization of the process of asserting claims against the contractor in the event of unfair performance of obligations on their part. If necessary, we submit a statement of claim to the Arbitration Court and represent the interests of the client in the course of adjudication of the dispute in court.

Legal support at the construction stage:

After completion of the design works and harmonization of all necessary permits in authorized bodies construction works usually commence. The construction works involve implementation and compliance of many statutory acts.

In the event of violation of applicable legal requirements the supervisory authorities shall be entitled to suspend the works until the violations are eliminated which can lead to the loss of time and financial resources.

The legal support of construction and construction companies from Prime Legal is a 10-year experience in construction management, exceptional legal literacy and quality control of all construction processes at all stages thereof.

Legal support of construction companies include:

  • Selection of participants in the process through tenders (selection of the general contractor, supplier, etc.);
